Village Tour in Alanya
If you want to get to know Alanya, this is the perfect tour for you. The village tour in Alanya offers a great opportunity to explore the Alanya region and its cultural heritage.

Tour Program:
The tour starts at 09:00, and we head straight to a restaurant where we begin with a traditional Turkish breakfast. After breakfast, we drive further up into the Taurus Mountains.

Our first stop is the village of Mahmutseydi, located about 25 km from the city center. This village is well-known among the locals in Alanya and has a fascinating historical background. Sultan Alaaddin Keykubat used to reside in this village during autumn and winter when it was too cold in the capital city of Konya.

In Mahmutseydi, we will visit the historic mosque (1252) and a traditional Turkish village house. The caretaker of the house will serve us a special mountain tea made from a mix of various local herbs.

Next, we’ll visit another village called Turktasch or Rumdasch. Historical records indicate that this was originally a Greek village before World War I. After the war, an exchange agreement was signed between Turkey and Greece, and the Greeks living in this village had to move to Greece, while the Turks in Greece returned to Turkey. For this reason, locals often refer to this village as Rumdasch (where Greeks once lived).

In this village, we’ll visit an old blacksmith's workshop, where a Turkish craftsman makes pocket knives from goat horns. He will also demonstrate his craftsmanship to us.

The final village on our tour is Turbelinas, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch at a restaurant located in the forest, named Park Orman Restaurant.

After lunch, we will head back to Alanya.
